Ease into summer with a day of self-nurturing and communal song! This workshop is for women and non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centres women and restoring feminine energy.
In the beautiful setting of Braziers Park, Ipsden, surrounded by nature, we will start the day with an inner journey of Yoga Nidra. This will be an opportunity to fully disconnect from stresses and to release unhealthy beliefs about your voice, both inner and outer. We will rest into a state of bliss which is our natural birthright, and allows us to remember that we are always connected to the source.
After a nourishing communal lunch, we will gradually awaken our voices with gentle song. We will build awareness of what happens inside when we use our voices so that we can access more pleasure and power in our voices. We will move to singing harmony songs and allowing the joy to fill us and RESOUND! If weather permits, we will also go outside and share some songs with nature.

My secret saviour since 2020 has been…
REST! During lockdown with my 2-year-old in 2020 I discovered Yoga Nidra. I was introduced to 'Daring to Rest' with Karen Brody by a friend in my women's business group and I started having 20 minute rest breaks most days. I was hooked. At first it was really hard to justify why I deserved these rest breaks that were just for me. Over time I got better at carving out the time and space for myself and realised just how busy I had always kept myself, even in my down time and even before having a baby when I 'had time'.
I discovered 2 key things during these rest meditations (yoga nidra). When my mind was quieted and my body calmed, there was a 'body wisdom' that took over and my physical, mental and emotional states seemed to magically come into balance (without me doing anything- bonus!). I also found that in the blissful floaty state that often occurs at the end of yoga nidra I would get messages or sudden moments of clarity on something I needed to do, or was confused about.
I started playing around and starting with rest when I approached my own creativity and found it was MAGIC! I just knew what I needed to work on, or had the capacity for on any given day- or more importantly what lit me up to work on in that moment. It was the best antidote for my perfectionism and resulting self-judgement and procrastination. I decided to start my voice workshops and 1:1 sessions with a bit of rest meditation as I wanted my clients to have this deep connection with themselves before starting to use the voice. I had a hunch that the limiting beliefs that in my 30 years of voice work have haunted and constricted my own voice and probably everyone I worked with at some level, would be best addressed and healed by this deep connection to self, beneath the mind, which is the state we can access with yoga nidra. (I made a CD of singing meditations to help with this- Tuning In: Songs to Reconnect and Recharge, available HERE)
This has been so powerful for me that I decided to become certified in Daring to Rest yoga nidra! I’m so excited to offer my first series of rest and voice sessions, ‘Rest and Reclaim Your Voice’. In each 90 minute session there will be a full 20 minute yoga nidra which corresponds to the phase of voice exploration we are doing. We will then have a gradual transition out of rest and into the voice, reaping the benefits of the blissful state of non-judgement and awareness of our bodies. There will be a short teaching and discussion on the focus for each session which will follow the Rest, Release and Rise phases of Daring to Rest yoga nidra. We will end with singing nourishing songs that will help us feel more connected to ourselves and each other. Our discussion will be tailored to the individual needs of those in the group; we will go where we go!
Details: We will meet on Sundays 7:30-9pm UK (2:30-4 EST) for 6 sessions: 12, 26th May, 2, 9, 16, 30th June. *All sessions will be recorded for those in the group, so if you miss any you can still have the experience and all of the information.*
Limited introductory offer: £77 for 6 weeks of 90 minute sessions, with rest and awareness practices to take into your week! BOOK NOW
